Travel diaries- 4 benefits of traveling

1.) You realize what you can’t live without

Every time I travel to a new place, I am connected to new experiences that I either want to remember forever or forget. Travel opens up a whole world of different possibilities and you start to see patterns with what you can’t live without. These things really matter. You understand yourself, your need, things important for you.

2.) You will meet people that will change your life.

I have met some pretty amazing people by traveling; the story of meetings seems very random but you learn alot. Their ideas, beliefs. Even dome connection stays on and effects your life in future. Memories to share.

3.) You have time to get inspired

The more places I travel to, the more time I have to day-dream and get inspired. Removing myself from my typical environment makes room for the new and the new pathways of thought are rampid! The new scenery and way of life always inspires me and allows me to see the world with a different perspective. Sometimes getting out of your own head and into a new environment can provide you with a different set of emotions, a new appreciation for life; Travel is a time I give to myself to get inspired. I have the freedom to think about my goals, my dreams and what direction I want to see my life go. Every place I have been to has opened up time to be inspired and envision a new way of life. New places help create new possibilities.

4.) You get to experience a different culture and way of life.

I have traveled almost in all the parts of India Except few. I feel like I have lived over 10 different lifetimes because of the travel I have done. You can take it all in; the people, the food, the culture and the way of life. You can live like a local and try new food, new customs and be a part of something that may be totally different than how you grew up.

There is no doubt about the fact that travel has changed my life. It has made me appreciate what I have at home and also wettened my appetite to see the world. I am a more interesting, caring and curious person because of the travel I have done and if anything, it has heightened my awareness and appreciation.

What other awesome reasons to travel would you add to the list?

Just read this post today. That made me more interested in travelling. Right now I am only viewing other people’s experiences in travelling and hopefully soon I would be able to write my own experiences. Been writing about the travel experiences of other people for now. 🙂 Good read…

I am probably too late to comment but came across your write up today only and it was wonderful going through the same..Well my latest facebook status reads ,”Diagnosed with an addiction called Fernweh – being homesick for a place where you have never been to !” :)..I am an ardent traveler , a passionate travel blogger .So much so that I often quote at various forums that we all are into some kind of job and then in between we go out for vacations while it should be exactly the other way , full time vacations with some kind of job in between :P….anyways , I agree with most of what have said above..please take some pain to go through my write ups as well as you might find a rather mirror image there as far as wanderlust is concerned !!

  27. Totally agree! I love to travel, too. I have just started blogging and it’s nice finding good reads here. For travel enthusiasts, please visit my travel blog at https://pilgrimsparadise.wordpress.com/ I have 4 entries on Switzerland–Lucerne, Schilthorn, Titlis, Murren and Lauterbrunnen (itineraries, tips, recommendations and places to visit and things to do) and a collection of videos in many places I’ve been to such as Iceland for the northern lights and blue lagoon, Italy for many of their iconic structures, St ives in UK for its fine sand and beautiful beach and Land’s End to name a few. Thanks a lot:)

Travelling has made me reflect on the important things in life. My money no longer is spent on frivolous things. Experiencing different cultures is far more impactful than a pair of new sneakers. The people I have met while travelling have changed me more than anything else.
